Responsibilities

The Activity Director will be responsible for the development, coordination, and implementation of recreational and educational activities that promote physical, emotional, and social well-being for our seniors. This role involves collaborating with staff, volunteers, and community resources to create a variety of engaging programs that meet the diverse interests and needs of our participants.

  • Program Development: Design and implement a diverse range of activities and programs that cater to various interests, abilities, and      demographics. Assess and revise activities as needed. 
  • Leadership & Coordination: Lead daily activity programs. Recruit, train, and supervise activity staff and volunteers.
  • Community Engagement: Build partnerships with local organizations, businesses, and community members to enhance programs offered. Plan and coordinate special events, workshops, and outings.
  • Budget Management: Manage the activity budget effectively.
  • Participant Interaction: Maintain regular communication with residents and their families to assess satisfaction & get activity ideas.
  • Documentation: Maintain records of activities, attendance, and feedback.

Requirements

  • Winning candidate will possess an enthusiastic spirit, kind heart and high energy level! 
  • Experience in program planning and implementation, preferred
  • Strong leadership and organizational skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a strong commitment to customer service.
  • Creativity and enthusiasm for fostering an engaging, supportive, and community-oriented environment.
  • Knowledge of safety and health regulations related to recreational programming.
  • CPR and First Aid certification is a plus.
